Intention-setting is a powerful exercise to manifest happiness, love, and stability in our lives.
From the food we feed ourselves to the career paths we follow, all decisions start with an intention. Intention-setting is the first step in creating our own destiny, and it can help us sustain a positive outlook as we move toward our goals.
As spiritual teacher Gary Zukav says, “Every intention sets energy into motion, whether you are conscious of it or not.”
The healing power of crystals can aid in this process. Similar to written lists, crystals serve as visual reminders of the intentions we set, and they can easily be worked into a pre-existing meditation or intention-setting routine.
Follow this simple four-step process to create crystal-clear intentions.
Be positive and positivity will come to you.
Each crystal is associated with a specific meaning, energy, and intention. We're drawn to crystals like we are to particular colors and scents, and we're often pulled toward the ones that contain the energy we're subconsciously trying to bring into our lives.
When choosing a crystal to work with, first focus on its color and shape and not its specific healing powers. Your intuition will lead you in the right direction, toward a crystals that will help you manifest what you truly need in your life.
Once you decide on a crystal, it's important to cleanse it of any negative energy it may have picked up from others who handled it before you. There are many ways to clear or cleanse your crystal. You can set it under a full moon for the evening, cleanse it with sage smoke by holding it above the sage as the smoke rises, or soak it in a sea salt bath. Before you place it in water, make sure your crystal is not soluble.
Hold the crystal in your dominant hand and clear your mind of any negative or unwanted thoughts. This may take time at first, but it will get easier with practice. When choosing an intention to set, think of the bigger picture. For example, don’t set the intention: "I want to win a million dollars." Instead, set one like this: "I wish to bring new financial opportunities into my life, along with the courage to follow these opportunities."
Keep your crystal in your pocket, on your desk, under your pillow, or next to your bed to serve as a constant reminder of the positive intentions you have set. Revisit and reset your intentions weekly to continue on your positive journey. Stay conscious of the energy you are bringing in. Be positive, and positivity will come to you.

Your birthstone is more than just a beautiful symbol of when you entered the world. It's a tool that when cultivated in the right way can be immensely powerful. Here are the properties and characteristics that drive each stone and rituals to bring them to the surface.
Garnet is said to promote career success, so try placing three or more of the stones on your desk for an extra business boost. Feel free to place them in the four corners of a desk drawer if you want to keep your "woo-woo" ritual a little more private.
Amethyst is one of my favorite stones, and simply being in its presence can bring about a sense of serenity. In order to harness some of this calm, free-spirited energy, use the stone as a decorative item all over—in your house, in your car, in your office or meditation space. Use it to purify your surroundings of negative vibrations and bring a beautifying, harmonious feeling home.
Aquamarine is all about healing. One way to harness its power is to fill a glass bowl with water, plop in your stone, and lay the mixture out in the sunlight. Then, state an affirmation of what you want to draw in to your life to infuse the stone bath with positivity. It's best to set the stone somewhere where it can receive the light of sunrise and absorb the sun's energy until sunset. If you live in a not-so-sunny-environment, set it down under the next full moon.
Not done yet! After the stone has engulfed the energy of nature, bring the bowl in and splash your face with the water. Think of it as washing the face of any imperfections and bathing it in worthiness and self-empowerment. You can also place your stone over tired eyes for 20 minutes to help add some vitality.
Diamonds represent romance and connection, so place the stone next to a photo of you and your sweetheart if you're in a relationship, or use it to meditate on the partner of your dreams.
Emerald is the stone of success and love, which includes self-love. Wear it close to your heart for confidence and abundance. Or, reignite an estranged love by speaking the words you want to say to them into your stone and seeing it in an envelope. If it's appropriate (and you're feeling gutsy), send it to the person with a written message.
You can use any one of these powerful stones for a smudging ritual. Start by lighting a candle and taking your stone of choice in your non-dominant hand. Take 3-5 deep breaths to center and ground your energy. Grab a pen and paper and start listening to your body for messages to write down.
Now that you have communicated with your body, take your crystal, and place it over your heart. Recite a mantra that promotes healing three times, open your eyes, and blow out the flame. The ritual doesn't end here. Keep the crystal with you for the next few days and stay open to the subtle messages your body is sending you.
Ruby is associated with power, passion, and protection. Wear your ruby on your body or carry it around through your day to overcome infuse your system with this energy and overcome lethargy. It can also be used to deepen your romantic relationships and encourage closeness and commitment. If you're feeling adventurous, wear it the next time you're making love with your partner to get that passion going.
Peridot increases the energy of love, happiness, and prosperity. It is also thought to ward against evil and dark energies, so wear it as a pendant to protect yourself throughout the day.
Blue sapphire is considered the fastest acting gemstone in astrology, imparting us with its benefits in a matter of days. This stone needs to be active and move around the body a lot, so start with it on the middle finger of the right hand if you are right-handed and left if you are left-handed, moving it to different digits throughout the day.
Opal is said to promote a sense of calm sand ease stress by centering the mind. It's a stone of peaceful dreams that's particularly soothing for children and those who have recurring nightmares. Place it under you or your child's pillow or on your nightstand.
Place golden topaz, the crystal of the sun, and blue topaz, which signifies the moon, together in a small pouch to balance logic and intuition, power and gentleness, and the creative side of your mind with the analytical.
Zircon is believed to be a protective stone, so wear it as a necklace close to your heat the next time you travel.

What Libras want: Companionship
What Libras need: To be around people
What Libras fear: Being alone
Libra’s Best Trait: Diplomacy
Libra’s Worst Trait: Indecisiveness
Libra’s Best First Date: Museum visit or Concert
Libra’s Sexual Style: Meek but romantic
Libra is the sign of partnership so relationships are most important to this sign. Libra is an air sign and all three air signs are social and/or people oriented but Libras literally thrive on the energy of people around them. This can be both a gift and a curse for this sign because eventually we all need to learn to stand on our own two feet. But once Libras learn to do this, they unlock the key to having happy, long-lasting relationships. Keep reading for the inside scoop on the general Libra personality, how they behave in love relationships and which zodiac signs are their best matches!
Libra is the second air sign of the zodiac and people born under this element (Gemini & Aquarius) are social/people oriented, thinkers and love to share ideas. Libra is a cardinal sign which means they are initiators and are not afraid to go after what they want. But all four cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn) may have a tendency to be bossy and/or have a one track mind when it comes to achieving goals. Libra shares a ruler (Venus) with earth sign, Taurus. Venus is the planet of love and beauty and this is very much a part of the libra personality. This coupled with the fact that Libra rules the 7th house in astrology, which is a relationship house, makes them the most co-dependent sign in the zodiac. Of course not all Libras are co-dependent. We all have a natal chart that gives more specific insight to our personalities. But many Libras need to be around and feel connected to people. This doesn’t mean that all Libras are extroverts but even the shy ones tend to be happier when in a relationship or just hanging out with another person. This is the sign that doesn’t mind having a buddy with them, whether it’s to the grocery store or the gym. Libra’s symbol is the scales and they strive for balance in all areas of their lives. They like order and structure and don’t do well when things are out of whack. They take their time to weigh all options that are presented to them – even if it’s just picking a place to go to lunch. Because of this, they come off as indecisive, but they really just don’t want to make the wrong choice! Libras are diplomatic and fair and can see both sides of a situation. This can be seen as them being “two-faced” to other more extreme signs like Scorpio or Leo but Libra really doesn’t mean to come off this way. They hate being put in a position to pick a side and probably never will. They love harmony and are happiest when everyone seems to be getting along. Because of the Venus influence, many Libras have great taste and love being surrounded by beautiful things and/or appreciate the arts. This is the sign that you want to take along on a shopping trip because you’ll have a great time and be able to use their expertise to find some beautiful items.
Libra’s life literally is relationships so this is what they do best. They are one of the most thoughtful, caring and loving signs in the zodiac and will give their all to the people they love. The problem is that not everyone deserves this love and Libras can be taken advantage of, especially early on in their lives. One of the lessons for Libras to learn in life is self-worth and independence which helps them to be an even better partner in the long run. Libra is one of the nicest signs in the zodiac so they may feel inclined to just go along with what their partner or date wants to do. It’s in their nature to appease but this can be detrimental in the long run because it keeps them from discovering what truly makes them happy. And until they are able to make themselves happy, they will never truly be able to make their partner happy. This is a common conundrum that Libra faces. It takes a lot to get Libra mad, mainly because they are so level-headed. This can be both a gift and a curse because on one hand, it keeps them from over reacting but it can also keep them from standing up for themselves when they need to. And once they do finally stand up for themselves, it may happen as a blow up which they may later regret. Another lesson for Libra to learn from relationships is to love people for their heart and not their outward appearance. Because Libra is ruled by beauty planet Venus, they are enamored with beautiful things, including people. This can cause them to date partners based on looks vs. substance. And because Libra is a social air sign, they can be ok with staying in a surface level relationship for longer than they should. But once Libra does find that perfect partner for them, hopefully after working on their self-love, they can bring so much joy to their partner’s life. They are catering, understanding and romantic. They enjoy the simple joys and beauty of life-like fine cuisine, art, music and anything creative. They also enjoy having hour-long conversations with their main squeeze or squeezes as Libras, especially the men, may have trouble settling down with just one person. Overall Libra is a wonderful sign to be in a relationship with and once you’ve won their heart, you will get the best part of them.
Because Libra is such an easy-going sign, they can have a relationship with many signs in the zodiac but this doesn’t necessarily mean they should be in that relationship. Libras may have an instant connection with the other two air signs – Gemini and Aquarius. If not, they will definitely never be at a loss for words with each other as all three signs can be very chatty. Gemini can bring out the intellectual side of Libra but Gemini’s need for change and independence may make Libra feel insecure. Both signs need to be mature and ready to make this relationship work. Aquarius brings out the natural humanitarian in Libra and Libra lets Aquarius be the quirky sign it is. But Libra’s co-dependency tendency can be a turn off for the notoriously independent and loner-esque Aquarius. Libra may also do well with fire signs Leo and Sagittarius since fire needs air to burn. I like Leo and Libra together since both signs have an appreciation for the finer things. Libra will give Leo the attention they love and need and Leo will reciprocate making Libra feel appreciated. Sagittarius and Libra can be a good match but like Aquarius, Sagittarius may be too independent for Libra who wants to spend as much time together as possible. Aries is Libra’s opposite sign and since opposites attract this can be a good match, at least in the beginning. Libra is attracted to Aries’ independence and confidence and can encourage Libra to be more outspoken and bold. But overtime Aries may start to boss Libra around and take their kindness for weakness. If these two signs can provide what each other is lacking in the relationship vs. trying to change each other, it can be a long-lasting love. Taurus can also be a good match for Libra since they share a sign ruler, Venus. These two signs have a lot of common interests. Taurus grounds the often light-hearted Libra and Libra adds variety to routine-loving Taurus’ life. My pick for the worst match for Libra is Scorpio. These two signs are right next to each other but have very different natures. Scorpio being a water sign is emotional and is not into anything surface level, especially relationships. Libra has a tendency to stay on the lighter side of life which can drive Scorpio mad. Scorpio is also a sign that tends to see things in black or white and Libra is ok with the gray area since they’d rather not pick just one side.
So if you’re thinking about dating a Libra or you’re already coupled with one, I hope this information was useful for you. If you want to learn more about Libra check out my All About the Zodiac Page. And remember, there is always more to the story when it comes to astrology. You need to understand a person’s natal chart and/or a compatibility chart to discover the intricacies of their personality and your relationship synergy.

It happens to the best of us - we get so focused on our careers that we get stressed out and forget to take time for ourselves. I think we are all guilty of doing this at some point. It is a well known fact that you will perform better in your work life when you have taken time to de-stress and relax your mind, body and soul.
Having a healthy work/life balance is so important and while everyone’s version of relaxing is different, we have rounded up a few of our favorite ways to stay relaxed when we are feeling stressed.
Doing yoga or meditating might seem like the obvious form of exercise to relax, but even if you enjoy high intensity work outs like spinning or kick boxing, escaping your mind and releasing your stress and anxiety through exercise is a great way to relax. It is also proven that exercising in the day will help you sleep better at night. If you can work anything from a 45 minute exercise class to a morning hike into your daily routine then you’re on the right track!
Although reading a book might not be everyones’ favorite thing to do when not at work, when you find the right book, you might change your mind. By reading stories, we escape our own minds and enter another world so to speak. Whether you like to read novels, essays or even the newspaper, reading for 30 minutes every day will allow us to forget what we have going on and focus on something else and refresh our minds.
In the mornings we drink coffee to help us kick start our day, and some people like to drink tea in the evenings to unwind. While a glass of wine might also do the trick and is totally acceptable after a long day of work, Yogi Kava Stress Relief Tea is a delicious hot drink that contains special herbs that help you de-stress. The tea is said to reduce anxiety and makes you feel good all over. It also contains no caffeine so it will not keep you awake at night.
LISTEN TO MUSIC
We have been listening to music for thousands of years to help us relax and it works! The magical part about music is that it is subjective, and everyone has a different preference. Whether you listen to country music, hip hop or french jazz, switching on your favorite genre for 30 minuets a day will not only help you unwind but it will also make you feel inspired and refreshed for work the next day. You could also try a relaxation tape of waves crashing and birds tweeting…it works in the movies right?!
FIND A HOBBY
There are plenty of sports and activities that are proven to be therapeutic. If you’re more athletic, you can try a sport like golf or swimming. If you’re more creative, you could try painting or knitting. Whatever your preference is, finding a hobby that you can work into your weekly routine will help take the edge off and get you feeling excited about something new!
In addition to these wonderful rituals that will help you lead a less stressed life, we our excited to announce the launch of our new Blue Lace Agate bracelet that helps to ease stress and promotes a healthy, balanced lifestyle. You can shop our new bracelet and the rest of our collection HERE.

It is officially bikini season and now is the time to be focused on your physical health more than ever. That being said, our mental health is just as important as our physical health. It helps to improve mental awareness and when worn in the workplace will help with stress, anxiety and depression.

Mediating is a great practice, but it can be very difficult to achieve a peaceful meditation. These 3 essentials will aid you to achieve Zen every time you meditate:
Tip: Use candles for light. Candles can create a more peaceful state with their natural light versus florescent lights.
Tip:Choose a corner or enclosed area in your house dedicated to mediating. A designated, clutter free area will make it easier for you to habitually meditate knowing you have your go to space.
3. Intention: One of the hardest aspects about meditating is trying to stay focused. Setting an intention before meditating will help prevent becoming scatter brained. Not only does setting an intention help create focus, it also makes one more aware of their thoughts, actions and emotions.
Tip: Write down your intention prior to meditating. If you write it, see it, say it and think it you are more likely to keep on track. Keep a mediation journal to track your intentions.
Remember to make your meditation practice your own. When new to meditation it may seem like a foreign exercise and you may experience a hard time turning off your mind and focusing. Keep practicing, in time it will become easier to achieve stillness in your mind and begin to experience the positive effects of meditation.
When you observe a piece of Labroadorite you will see its shimmering hues of blues and greys. The Inuit people believe that it fell from the frozen fire of the Aurora Borealis, creating this magical looking crystal. Labradorite is one of the most powerful stones in the crystal world, it holds a protective energy which helps to create a space filled with positive energy.
Often associated with the Crown Chakra (at the top of your head) Labradorite is connected to the energy of the mind. When you wear Labradorite or place it near you it creates a sense of clarity and eases intuition, making it a great stone to have in your office or workspace.
Today, our offices and work spaces have become cluttered with computers, devices and technology. These devices can often create distractions and unneeded stress. Crystals placed in the workspace not only add to the décor, but also absorb negative and excess energy created by our devices. By placing crystals within our space we create a helpful reminder to take time to distress and stay positive.
Where to place crystals in the work place:
